The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed to CNEWS this Thursday, November 7, that Bruno Pelat, ex-companion of Iris Mittenaere, had been sentenced to nine months in prison, including six for domestic violence against his ex-partner.
A sentence in accordance with the requisitions. Bruno Pelat, 31, former companion of Iris Mittenaere, was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment, six of which were suspended for domestic violence, the Paris prosecutor’s office told CNEWS this Thursday.
At the same time, the courts revoked a three-month simple suspended sentence imposed during a prior conviction against Bruno Pelat. His sentence is therefore fixed at nine months, which will be in the form of home detention under electronic surveillance.
The Paris court set the probationary suspension of the ex-boyfriend of the former Miss France at two years, including an obligation of care but also compensation for the civil party and a ban on contact with the latter.
During the hearing on Friday, September 27, Bruno Pelat was placed under judicial supervision pending his trial, the Paris prosecutor’s office told CNEWS at the end of September. He was also prohibited from having contact with the victim.
A relationship started in the summer of 2024
Bruno Pelat was taken into custody on Tuesday September 24, in the premises of the police station in the 18th arrondissement of the capital for domestic violence. This was extended on Wednesday September 25 afternoon, CNEWS learned from the prosecution.
The police custody was part of an investigation opened for “violence” against his partner Iris Mittenaere “not exceeding eight days of incapacity for work (ITT)”, according to the same source.
According to the public prosecutor, the facts occurred at the home of the companion of Miss France 2016 on the night of September 23 to 24. They were reported via the digital victim support platform, the prosecution detailed to CNEWS.
As a reminder, Iris Mittenaere and her ex-companion Diego El Glaoui separated in May 2024 after four years of relationship. In the summer of 2024, the former Miss France began a new relationship with Bruno Pelat.
