Last performance, this Wednesday evening at the Théâtre du Cratère in Alès, of the creation “De Lumière” by the company Le Grand Cerf Bleu.
The new show “Of light” designed by Jean-Baptiste Tur with the company Le Grand Cerf Bleu, performed this Tuesday, November 5 in the room next to the Cratère, was the opportunity for an immersion in the bullfighting world. A universe which, from Alès to Arles, is familiar to bullfighting enthusiasts, but here takes on colors of blood, humor, love and death.
This creation dramatizes the making of a documentary where music and video collaborate with the performance of actor David Ayala who infuses emotion and significant sensitivity into the text of Azilys Tanneau. These are the three ages of human life which are prefigured with sequences where the ardent youth of future toreadors precedes those of maturity and disappearance.
Among the precious moments of this play, we shudder at various times, notably the one where, in a few words and gestures, David Ayala simulates the tragedy of Nimeño II in the arenas of Arles. It doesn’t take much for it to block your breathing and bring out intense emotion. Ayala succeeds in this with unparalleled delicacy.
The audience present was not mistaken, and at the end of the show, a standing ovation greeted the performance of all the actors and musicians present on stage.
