Which will continue until November 9.
The Governor of the Eastern Region, Governor of Oujda Prefecture, Angad, Khatib Lahbil, opened the festival with his speech, emphasizing the need to promote meaningful cinematographic films through civil society, highlighting the capacity of cinema to generate economic, social and cultural development in general and in the city of Oujda in particular, emphasizing the possibility of disseminating the values of citizenship through cinema, human belonging and pride of Moroccan cultural identity through the organization of international festivals such as. the festival on the one hand forms a communication bridge between cultures and people and, on the other hand, transmits human experiences in an artistic way, far from all natural differences between people.
The festival is known for presenting more than 25 films in the official feature and short film competitions, in addition to awarding special screenings for children and outdoor screenings, in addition to presenting a series of workshops, seminars , round tables, honoring eminent personalities. in the world of cinema, meetings with celebrities and guests of honor to inject new blood into the Maghreb artistic scene, and the strengthening of links between peoples and cultures through distinguished Egyptian participation and the welcome of France as guest of honor.
