President of the “La Bonne Etoile” association for more than ten years, Læticia Hallyday is traveling to Vietnam for a few days in an orphanage welcoming a majority of disabled children. On Instagram, she shared her emotion.
Vietnam is engraved in the heart of Laeticia Hallyday, for many reasons. The main one is obviously the link with her two daughters Jade and Joy, both born in this country and whom she adopted with Johnny Hallyday in 2004 and then in 2008. The second is her association.
During her travels in Southeast Asia, Laeticia Hallyday developed a strong interest in Vietnamese children living in suffering. With the help of her great friend, chef Hélène Darroze, in 2012 she founded the association “La Bonne Etoile” to help them. It was as part of a mission of this association that she went in recent days to the “Go Vap Orphanage”, one of the largest orphanages in Ho Chi Minh.

The particularity of this orphanage is its number of disabled children (down syndrome, autism, blindness, etc.): more than 80% of the orphans housed in the establishment have a disorder. When she arrived on the scene, once in contact with the children, Laeticia Hallyday did not hide her emotion. Having not been able to go to Vietnam since 2019, the return to this symbolic country is all the more overwhelming in his eyes.

“Every gesture counts in our mission”
It had been several years since Laeticia had the opportunity to return to see the children of the “Go Vap Orphanage”. In an Instagram story, she shared her feelings: “Moved to return to Vietnam for this mission that is so close to my heart. Reuniting with our teams, the children, and seeing everything that my association “La Bonne Etoile” is achieving on the ground fills me with gratitude and strength. Thank you to everyone who makes these concrete and hopeful actions possible. Every moment spent here is a reminder of the importance of acting together. »
During her mission, Laeticia Hallyday crossed paths with a young girl she met before the 2020 pandemic. Still on Instagram, she shared her reunion with little May, visibly delighted to chat for a moment with the president of the association.
