In the cozy atmosphere of the legendary Parisian room of the Reservoir, THE artists from the Caribbean and Africa invited by the Kassav’ group cover the emblematic titles of Patrick Saint-Éloi. Farm Saint-Val, E.sy Kennenga, Tony Hunter, Thierry Cham, Marijosé Alie, Richard Cave (Carimi), David Tayrault, Fally Ipupagroups of big case (drums) Kozeika and the Geoffroy brothers all responded to participate in this concert dedicated to an artist with unique creativity who knew, through his repertoire, capturing emotions, stories and moments that still resonate and carried West Indian music throughout the world.

Child of Guadeloupe, artist with an exceptional voice, recognized by his peers, adored by his audience, Patrick Saint-Éloi, who died on September 18, 2010, leaves behind an eclectic repertoire of love songs and committed songs. After twenty years with the group Kassav’, Patrick Saint-Éloi began a solo career. The artist will release five albums and two compilations. In 2007, he appeared on stage at the Zénith de for his 25th career. His repertoire, composed with the Kassav’ group and solo, remains an inexhaustible source for new generations of musicians. His poetic texts are today taken up by artists such as Kalash, Lycinaïs Jean and D. Daly.

In this documentary, his friends Lilian Thuram (international footballer), Victorin Lurel (politician and former Minister of Overseas Territories), José Da Silva (president of Sony Africa) and other personalities testify with open hearts, in memory of this immense artist. The man nicknamed the prince of “zouk love” leaves a precious musical legacy which symbolizes the soul of Guadeloupe, his native land which he loved more than anything.
