Maureen opened the ball with “I think of you”, a piece by Linh that echoes her story. The young academic explained the reasons for her musical choice of the day. “ I was bullied in second grade and my parents divorced, my mother became seriously ill. At 18, I wanted to leave immediately to see something else, develop in other things and become an independent young woman. So, I didn’t immediately talk about music because my parents didn’t necessarily have the means to take me to play music. ».
Words that brought tears to Clara Luciani’s eyes. And the candidate added: “ We could not have been a family that was torn apart, that no longer spoke to each other at all with complicated contacts. [mais] this is not the case! Today, my family is my biggest support, it’s thanks to them that I am here (…) that I was cast for the Star Academy. I hope to be as strong as my mom and as appreciative of the work of others as my dad is for me. ».
Later, still during the evaluations, Clara Luciani could not hide her emotion after Maïa’s performance.
