This is a first in Lescure. The book will be in the spotlight next Sunday, November 10, to celebrate writing, highlight our beautiful French and Occitan language, and to make everyone want to read. Les Arts Lescuriens responded to the wish of Mayor Élisabeth Claverie, who wanted to attract all audiences with the very eclectic offering of this show. There will indeed be books for children, biographies, novels, fiction, thrillers, testimonies and poetry without forgetting history. 32 authors from all over Occitania will be present from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Moïse-David room. Tarn authors will be well represented with, among others, the historians Max Assié and René Pagès, the novelists Mary Aulne, Muriel Batave-Matton, Natalice and Nathalie Paz and a Lescurienne “Zicou”. L’Occitan will be in the spotlight thanks to Sèrgi Gairal and Patrick Chéreau. Note also the presence of the Revue du Tarn presented by Jean Gasc, whose number 274 for the month of June was devoted to Lescure-d’Albigeois.
Just like his colleagues, Loren Bes, designer and book illustrator, will be there to sign his publications. A catering area will be available on site also with drinks and mulled wine.
