The ComediHa! salute Montreal unveils its 2024 program

More than 200 artists will come together for a period of 10 days, from July 18 to 28. The event includes indoor and outdoor comedy shows, notably at Place des Festivals, Place des Arts, Théâtre Saint-Denis and Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne.

Outdoor programming is also free. Festival-goers will just have to show up every evening at the Place des Festivals from 7 p.m.

Outdoor programming

  • July 18 — Bleu Jeans Bleu and company: The group will be accompanied by David Beaucage, Alexandre Champagne and other guests for a show that is as musical as it is humorous.
  • July 19 — Queer & Friends hosted by Katherine Levac: Queer & Friends highlights 2SLGBTQIA+ comedians with the aim of “deconstructing stereotypes with jokes”.
  • July 20 —The Fan War hosted by Phil Roy: This is a competition inspired by the show of the same name on Crave. The winner of the first season, Kim Lévesque-Lizotte, will also be in the show.
  • July 21 — Stand-Up Generation: A comedy show with the best comedians of the latest generation: Adib Alkhalidey, Matthieu Pepper, Mona de Grenoble, Korine Côté, Liliane Blanco-Binette, Yannick De Martino, Jo Cormier and PO Forget.
  • July 25 — Carte blanche to Arnaud Soly: Arnaud Soly hosts the evening and will be accompanied by Alexandre Barrette, Anas Hassouna, Douaa Kachache, Mibenson Sylvain, Mona de Grenoble and Maude Landry.
  • July 26 — Less far than Saint-Tite hosted by Pascal Morrissette and counting among its guests Mathieu Dufour, Mitsou, Laurence Nerbonne and other surprises. At the event, we expect country music and line dancing.
  • July 27 and 28 —The festival will conclude with a series of performances by English-speaking artists who will be announced soon as part of the Just For Laughs component.

Indoor programming (at Place des Arts)

  • July 19 —The JMP Event (Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier): Jean-Marc Parent will be on stage to offer his famous anecdotes, but with a musical component and surprise guests.
  • July 19 and 20 —Evenings There’s something to laugh about (Théâtre Jean-Duceppe) will be hosted by Korine Côté (July 19) and Billy Tellier (July 20). The two comedians will receive ten comedians to enhance the two evenings.
  • July 19 — Comedy Club Tour hosted by Neev (Cinquième Salle): Quebec artists selected by France come to present acts for European television.
  • July 20 — Graduate tour 2024 of the National School of Humor (Fifth Room): The ÉNH presents the next generation of comedians from Quebec.
  • July 18 to 20 —Laughter Time (Salle Claude-Léveillée): As the name indicates, it is 60 minutes of jokes. We will find Jean-Michel Martel, Rachelle Elie, Josiane Aubuchon and Richardson Zéphir.

At the Théâtre Saint-Denis, the musical Waitress, a piece bringing together more than 25 artists, will be present from June 22 to July 28. The play, inspired by the 2007 film of the same name, will be presented for the first time in French.

And finally, on the Vieux-Terrebonne side, the room Me & the other by Kim Lévesque-Lizotte will be on view from June 27 to July 28. The piece is once again inspired by a series of the same name from the 1960s.
