Camille Chamoux presents this Thursday June 6 and Friday June 7, 2024 her “Pain surprises” at the Arènes de Doué-en-Anjou as part of the Anjou Festival. Between two films and TV series, the actress, screenwriter and director returns to Anjou for a unique show. The actress, who recently stood out in several films and TV series including La Flamme, took up the challenge of an original creation in an outdoor location.

Jean Robert-Charrier, the artistic director of the Anjou Festival who also directs the Parisian theater of Porte Saint-Martin, offered Camille Chamoux carte blanche for this 74e editing. A special creation which is presented in a unique way two evenings in a row only at the Arènes de Doué-en-Anjou. There are still a few places available for reservation.

The actress will involve the public

Spectators will witness a show being madeimmediately warns Camille Chamoux. I offer them this experimental curiosity of seeing the birth of my next show while putting them to work. As it’s a Surprise Bread, I won’t say anything else. Only that there will perhaps be accomplices at my side… .

Camile Chamoux admits to having a special relationship with the region. Over the course of my visits, I felt like I was from Angers. My first memory in Anjou is obviously unforgettable. I came to play 13 days after giving birth to my first child, with my infant under my arm at the Château du Plessis-Macé. I still had the belly of a pregnant woman specifies the actress, screenwriter and director. This is my third show that I have come to perform at the Anjou Festival, but this time, it is a unique creative experience .

With Camille, we have already done three shows together(Editor’s note: Born under Giscard directed by Marie Dompnier; L’Esprit de contradiction, directed by Camille Cottin and Le Temps de Vivre directed by Vincent Dedienne, all performed at the Anjou Festival), explains Jean-Robvert Charrier. It’s both crazy and awesome that an artist like her agrees to take on the challenge and, for the spectators, to witness the birth of a live show .

Practical. Bread surprises at the Arènes de Doué-en-Anjou Thursday June 6 and Friday June 7, at 9:30 p.m. Reservations on the Anjou Festival website.
