1st anniversary of the Carac chains

A year ago, Media One Group announced the launch of CARACa new media player in the French-speaking audiovisual landscape. CARAC brings together four private channels under one brand: Rouge becomes CARAC1, One TV – CARAC2, lfm TV – CARAC3, TV Suisse PLUS -CARAC4.

After a year, the Carac channels reached a milestone by reaching more than 200,000 viewers at the beginning of September 2024.

A year of growth and innovation
Since the creation of this platform, the channels have launched 15 new shows, such as “Entre Nous” and “New Era”, which embody the channels’ commitment to offering original content. In addition to these new features, certain flagship shows have increased their audiences such as “Game On”, the unmissable meeting place for gaming enthusiasts, and “Spatule”, the show dedicated to Swiss gastronomy, which have become pillars of the charac. channel grid. These programs help to enrich the varied offering, mixing entertainment, culture and passion.

A growing place for live
Television channels continue to develop their live programming, notably through the broadcast of various major sporting competitions such as the Bol d’Or, 3×3 basketball, the Swiss road cycling championship, and the CHI . The live broadcast of the Swiss Awards and Insomnia 2024 was a great success with French-speaking viewers. Sport occupies an important place in the channels’ live offering, but so do entertainment programs.

A leading cinema program
Carac channels offer a selection of major films each month, with an average of 80 films. Among the titles broadcast, we find recent films such as “Ruthless” (2023), “Escape the Field” (2022), “American Dreamer” (2022), and “Due Justice” (2023). These works bring a variety of genres, from thriller to drama, providing viewers with a rich and captivating cinematic experience.

A campaign to mark this anniversary
To mark this first anniversary, the Carac chains are launching a major communications campaign throughout Switzerland. With a gross value of more than CHF 800,000, this campaign will continue in 2025 with a reinforced presence on TV, radio, digital and DOOH. In Geneva, buses in the colors of the Carac chains will run during the months of October and November, strengthening the brand’s presence in the heart of the city.
