Michel Fugain does not have his tongue in his pocket. This Saturday, October 26, he was the guest on the show What era
presented by Léa Salamé and Christophe Dechavanne. VWhen discussing his career, he agreed to play the game “Photos Michel”. Facing him were images of famous Michel, including Michel Sardou. Michel Fugain remembers his meeting with the singer as if it was yesterday. “I met him in a drama class where I went to make friends”, he confided before adding: “A drama class is normally a “lot of chicks”. Michel Fugain then addresses Christophe Dechavanne to ask for his approval but the principal concerned, very embarrassed by this question, simply answers “no”. Michel Fugain had things to say and he made it known.
“They want to do theater, cinema, they are quite pretty. It was my bet,” he assured. Michel Fugain has never forgotten this moment. “ And the next morning, I discovered that I was made for this, thanks to Michel”, he said, grateful for the help he was able to receive. This meeting, if it was not his main goal, changed his life since Michel Fugain has an immense, successful career behind him. If the two friends share points in common in terms of music, this is not the case for everything, especially politics. “I hope he won’t hold it against me. Michel Sardou has no idea…”, declared Michel Fugain, not at all agreeing with Michel Sardou's ideas.

Michel Fugain had an encounter that marked his life. Despite the time that has passed, the two artists are still close and they have completely normal relationships. “He is capable of losing his temper very loudly, like many people in this audience,” recognized Michel Fugain
regarding his friend's behavior, sometimes very criticized.
“He loses his temper very, very loudly and it might translate into a song at some point but he's a completely normal guy. He’s certainly not a fascist, so that’s clear,” he assured. Michel Fugain wants to put an end to all rumors of tensions due to their political opinions by simply declaring:
“ And from afar I watched what was happening, we said “yes you are opposed”. But not at all.” This has the merit of being clear.
