Six years after his death, Charles Aznavour is more present than ever in the cinema with the release this fall of “Monsieur Aznavour” and on stage with a series of symphony concerts to be listened to from November 23 at the Palais des Congrès in .

He would have been 100 years old this year. Charles Aznavour, who died six years ago, is celebrated this fall with the release of a film Mr Aznavour as well as a series of symphony concerts which begin on November 23 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. It is his son, Mischa Aznavour, who orchestrates this tribute.

Tribute to the singer and actor

“What touches me the most about my father is all the love he gave for his audience,” confides his son Mischa Aznavour at the microphone of Europe 1.

Mischa observed this love between Charles Aznavour and his audience as a little boy, sitting on the stage of the Palais des Congrès in Paris while his father performed. The Charles Aznavour Fetish Hall will therefore host the tribute concert. A tribute to the singer with covers by Sylvie Vartan, Thomas Dutronc and Alain Chamfort. “He still had very friendly relationships with many of them,” explains his son.

A tribute also to the actor Charles Aznavour. “It’s a film concert. We will also be able to see Aznavour as an actor again, because we forget him a little bit but he has still appeared in more than 100 films,” continues Mischa Aznavour.

“A film that depicts one man’s battle”

Charles Aznavour comes back to life on the big screen. Mischa Aznavour participated in the production of the biopicMr Aznavour worn by actor Tahar Rahim. “The film was very moving. I cried a lot. Tahar’s work is incredible. It’s a film which depicts the battle of a man,” he assures. One man’s battle to be recognized. Six years after his death, Charles Aznavour remains one of the French artists whose music is best exported abroad.
