1 Lanvellec bringing its past to life

Every two years, the town of Lanvellec (22) transforms into a medieval village where several thousand visitors are expected. On the program: market, demonstrations of old trades, barrel organ, large costume parade, fanfare drums, sea shanties, ancient dances, the bagad of Pommerit-le-Vicomte…

Saturday, from 2 p.m. and Sunday, from 10 a.m. (possibility of meals on site/€10). Free entry and parking.

2 Magic Festival in Plestin-les-Grèves

International magic festival in Plestin-les-Grèves (22) with five renowned artists: burlesque magicians, a mentalist and another who mixes illusion, music and theater.

At the An Dour Meur cultural space, sessions, Saturday, at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. €30 and €15 -12 years old.

3 Kerien Horse Fair

Between 7,000 and 10,000 visitors are expected in this Costa Rican town of 240 inhabitants where this Horse Fair takes place with 120 colts and fillies who will be in the running. There will also be an open-air market with 130 exhibitors, including around fifteen on the craft market, demonstrations of Breton strength games and mountain bike trials, an exhibition of vintage vehicles, a brass band…

4 Sea Writers’ Fair in Etel

10th edition of the Maritime Writers’ Fair. Around the writers, there will also be sailors, artist-authors, children’s authors, historians, an archaeologist…

In Etel (56), Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Thoniers museum. €3 (including visits to the exhibitions) and free – 8 years old.

5 The Sekai Festival

Focused on Asia, the Vannes Sekaï Festival opens this year to South Korean culture with K-Pop, which brings together several musical genres originating from South Korea (dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic2… ). Around a hundred exhibitors will also take over the festival, as well as artist-creators of posters, goodies, engravings, etc. The public will also be able to go to the gaming area and the cosplay village. Last year, the first edition of the festival attracted 10,000 visitors.

6 Local flavors fair in Landerneau

28th edition of the Local Flavors Show in Landerneau (29) in the presence of around sixty exhibitors for a tour of of gastronomic know-how and specialties. There will also be stands presenting flavors from Morocco, Canada, Italy…

At the Saint-Ernel hall, Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. €2.

7 Scarecrow Festival at Guilvinec

From Saturday until November 2, the center and port of Guilvinec (29) are decorated with scarecrows of all kinds, visible 24 hours a day.

8 Saint-Jacques Festival in Saint-Brieuc

First edition of the Saint-Jacques Festival in Saint-Brieuc with activities around the shell. On the menu: culinary demonstrations, tastings, boat tours, a shell sale (Saturday)… A DJ will provide the musical part.

At the port of Légué, Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Free entry.

9 Children’s Book Festival in Carnac (56)

30 authors and illustrators are present at this festival where many activities are planned: drawing competitions, giant puzzles and coloring, origami workshops, pop-ups, haikus, reading for children, etc.

Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Salle du Ménec. FREE ENTRANCE.

Cider festival in Locquirec and plant swap in Guimaëc. The cider festival started yesterday in Locquirec (29) where it continues until Sunday. On the program, Saturday: from 9:30 a.m., book party on Île Blanche with conferences and walks until 7 p.m.; at 2 p.m., treasure hunt for children and creation of an accordion book; at 4:30 p.m., cider pressing and evening meal. Sunday: meet at 2 p.m. at the Kerboulic water tower for an 8 km hike (€5 and cider tasting); from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Guimaëc sports hall (29), plant swap, exchange of cuttings, books and gardening equipment…

Free entertainment, Saturday, and free entry to the plant barter, Sunday.
