Center Paul Klee
Dear media representatives,
From October 19, 2024 to February 16, 2025, the Zentrum Paul Klee presents a thematic focus on avant-garde magazines as part of its permanent exhibition. Some 150 exhibited pieces shed light on the magazine as a field of artistic experimentation.
In the early 20th century, magazines became an important medium in art – from Futurism, through Dadaism, to Surrealism and beyond. The exhibition Focus. Lesson avant-garde magazines presents 15 interesting journal titles to view and read. In addition, it addresses the content and design aspects of the journal as a field of artistic experimentation.
Martin Waldmeier, curator of the exhibition, is available for tours of the exhibition from Monday October 21, 2024. Please notify us of your interest at [email protected].
Furthermore, at the end of October, the collection will be displayed in the permanent exhibition Kosmos Klee will be renewed. The public will thus be able to discover new aspects of Paul Klee’s work and another part of the exceptional collection of the Zentrum Paul Klee.
