Rainy and windy weather in Quebec: the weather spoils the Thanksgiving holiday

Rain, snow and strong gusts: an imposing system, full of humidity, will continue its route eastwards while its passage over Quebec could cause problems on the roads at Thanksgiving.

Falling like a hair in the soup, the weather conditions on this Thanksgiving day do not encourage going out, while a low pressure system will bring in its wake a lot of precipitation accompanied by cold temperatures and strong winds.

Certain areas of the center and east of the province will be particularly wet, while the mercury will fall with temperatures in the single digits throughout Quebec.

Environment Canada has also issued a special weather forecast for several sectors of Eastern Quebec which will be blown by violent winds of 70 to 90 km/h.

In Estrie and Quebec, the federal agency predicts 15 to 25 millimeters of rain and strong winds with gusts of 70 km/h, while in Saguenay the rain will be intermittent.

In Montreal, intermittent rain and winds of 40 km/h are expected under gray skies with maximum temperatures of 8 degrees, according to the federal agency.

Western Quebec would be relatively spared, since the weather will be generally cloudy with a 40% chance of showers, but it will be colder with strong winds present.

The gloomy weather will persist on Tuesday across most of Quebec with intermittent rain and temperatures below seasonal norms.
