More than a hundred musicians, three elephants, sheep, birds, percussion… For its 50th anniversary, the Plougastel bagad pulled out all the stops, with the Oposito Company, Saturday October 5, 2024. A look back at a rainy but happy evening!

Dozens of actors and musicians paraded from the industrial zone of Plougastel to the city center, playing music, and animating sheep, birds and mechanical elephants, lit between the raindrops by numerous torches and smoke bombs. | GUILLAUME SALIGOT / WEST-FRANCE Saturday October 5 in the evening, the weather no longer has anything to do with the almost summer weather of the previous days. Shortly before the start of the show, heavy rain fell on the Brest region. And Plougastel, the setting that evening for a monumental parade in the streets of the town, is no exception.

But this was not enough to dampen the enthusiasm of the artists and the public. For more than an hour, a transhumance made up of metallic animals and humans disguised as elephants, birds and sheep, traveled from the Biocoop to the town center, with a grandiose finale at Place du Calvaire.
