Philémon Valembois: this Landorthais has a rather astonishing life story. Disabled at a very young age, he will ignore his failures due in part to this handicap to demonstrate that his life does not resemble a long, quiet river. And that it gives him great satisfaction.

At 19, he created a micro business in the photography sector. A relentless autodidact, he immersed himself in this activity but his disability forced him to reinvent himself, find solutions to adapt his daily life, namely to make his mobility and dexterity problems possible and compatible with his passion for images.

Artistic photography allows him to convey more emotion. His borderless clientele understands this well and allows him to work in particular for large companies. This lover of life makes us travel on land, in aquatic environments or in the air. His travels in Asia, the United States, Jordan, Senegal, , Eastern Europe… always take him further in the search for the perfect photo. His last trip to Bosnia, in total autonomy despite his disability, to see the bears up close in their natural element, once again allowed him to live his passion like no other. His life is a daily adventure that allows him to overcome all his problems.

The weekend of October 11 and 12 will be an opportunity to see his works in the Landorthe multipurpose room. A free exhibition where Philémon will be happy to comment on his “paintings”.

On Friday, students from the school where he grew up will come to see the village child (2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.). He spared no effort to create a game for the occasion, beyond his exhibited photos. On Saturday, the exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A moment not to be missed, to share with family. A life lesson for young and old!
