Pride. uNopia concert: classical music accessible to all

Tuesday, October 1, in the courtyard of the Orgueil school group, a magnificent meeting took place: the 173 students and around sixty people came to listen to the great pianist Guilhem Fabre who had parked his stage truck in the school courtyard . All this as part of the national tour of the uNopia project, created by this same pianist, uNopia. It is a project that organizes concerts and shows to make classical music known and loved by the wider world. Since 2019, uNopia has organized tours of around thirty dates throughout and Europe. The stage truck is equipped with a large concert piano which makes it possible to give high quality concerts with leading artists for all audiences, in varied spaces (in the countryside, on village squares, in suburbs, schoolyards, etc.), as far as possible from both snobbery and demagoguery. Proposed by the cultural association Les grands interpreters as part of their musical programming, with the support of the Banque de France, this opportunity to introduce classical music outside the usual venues appealed to the municipality of Orgueil, which immediately responded. present to welcome Guilhem Fabre and his traveling piano. For almost an hour, the public was able to discover or rediscover Haydn, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Bach, Schubert, Prokofiev, Rameau… under a radiant sun, to the great pleasure of young and old alike. A lasting memory for all the lucky ones who were able to enjoy this melodious afternoon. And perhaps at the end of this concert new talents will be born.
