The actress of Soler (Pyrénées-Orientales) once again registers its name on the Molières d’or list. Already rewarded in 2014 with the Molière for female revelation, Jeanne Arenes wins, 10 years later, the Molière for best supporting role. A distinction acquired, this Monday, May 6, 2024, thanks to his role in the play, The mirror effect by Léonore Confino.

A comedy based on family relationships

It all starts with a writer named Théophile, played by François Vincentelli, who finds himself struck by the famous blank page syndrome. But the latter ends up finding his inspiration by working on a book that will shock those close to him.

As he discovers these new lines, those around Théophile recognize themselves more and more through the characters. Then comes a dinner during which the masks fall.

Jeanne Arènes’ performance in this play in which she plays a supporting role was therefore rewarded with a Molière.

No Molière for Lucie Brunet

Another representative of the Catalan country during this 35e edition of the night of Molières, Lucy Brunet (also known under the pseudonym Luce, famous candidate for Nouvelle Star in 2010) did not receive an award despite her nomination in the category of female revelations.

Each year, the Molières ceremony rewards the most notable artists and pieces of the season.
