Pamela Anderson thinks she could have had the same tragic fate as Amy Winehouse.

The 57-year-old actress had a tumultuous time in the media when her sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee was leaked online in the late 1990s. She later admitted to trying to end her life and So compared his own relationship with fame to that of Amy, who died in 2011 at the age of 27 following alcohol poisoning.

Pamela, who is mother to Brandon, 28, and Dylan, 26, noted that it was her sons who “saved” her from such a fate.

She told Glamor magazine: “Amy came to my concert in Las Vegas. I still have his jacket with a ticket to the magic show in his pocket. »

Asked if she thinks her own story could have ended as tragically as Amy’s, the “Baywatch” actress replied, “Absolutely.” There were many times I could have found myself in this situation, but what saved my life – although you never want to blame your children – were my boys. Without them, I could not have been as strong as I have been. I had to be strong for my boys. And I also had to leave Tommy for my sons. And even though I married other people and did other things, my intention was to create a family for them. »
