Amadeus at 40. This will not have escaped the notice of the Voie des choirs association which organizes the fclassical music summer the Clissonnantes. Between the outsourced concerts which took place this weekend and heart of the festival which takes place from October 4 to 6 has Clissonthe members of the association offer a screening of this film, Who is one of 15 in the history of cinema to have received 8 or more Oscars.
It will be screened this Monday September 30at 7 p.m., at the Le Connétable cinema. This feature film directed by Miloš Forman will be followed by a personality discussion of Mozarthosted by Nicolas Jounis, festival director.
A fiction about the rivalry of Mozart and Salieri
The artist’s life, his work, his music, his laughter and especially his rivalry with Salieri are at the center of this incredible and rococo fiction adapted from a play by Peter Shaffer. However, this film should not be considered like a biography, but like a fiction which is loosely inspired by Mozart’s storywhich explains the few differences compared to the facts. For example, the film is presented through the view that Salieri, mad with jealousy, has on Mozart. He sees him as a brilliant but obscene, vulgar being, an enemy who must be defeated: however, most historians agree on the fact that if the two composers were indeed rivals, the opposition was marked by respect et of mutual admiration.
