Tribute, therefore, to the Dutch designer who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of her eponymous fashion house, during a retrospective exhibition exceptional to discover from November 29, 2023 to April 28, 2024.

Made famous by her sculptural and futuristic collections, the innovative designer notably won the coveted ANDAM prize in 2014, rewarding her extraordinary universe which has also been the subject of several exhibitions around the world.

On the occasion of this new emphasis, the Museum of Decorative Arts looks back at all the creations, materials and know-how that have made the company famousIris Van Herpen : 3D printed dresses, laser cutting and other innovative technologies will be in the spotlight!

“From micro to macro, the exhibition questions the place of the body in space, its relationship to clothing and its environment, its future in a rapidly changing world,” introduces the museum in a press release.

This anniversary retrospective will combine around a hundred of his creations with contemporary works, installations and photographs, along a route laid out around 8 major themes. Along the way, an immersive space will reveal the Amsterdam creative studio and broadcast the fashion shows by Iris Van Herpen.
