“Here it all begins” Summary in advance of the episode of April 30, 2024

Tom is heartbroken

For her cooking class, Hortense offers Tom the position of assistant. As he answers the students’ questions, he sees Billie with a smile on her face and her gaze glued to her phone. Worried, Tom asks Leonard how the bachelor party went: “Has Billie met anyone?” » Leonardo replies that he wasn’t paying attention. Determined to find out what happened, he decides to ask Maya and Malik the question. After a few seconds of hesitation, Maya reveals to the young man that Billie danced all night with a man and that she spent the night his home. The young woman adds: “Sometimes it’s better not to know”. Tom is disappointed.

Tom isolates himself in the Institute grounds. Leonardo sits down next to him. Tom tells him that Billie slept with another man. He now knows that he no longer has any chance of getting back together with the love of his life. He said to his friend: “I can’t believe it’s over, me and her.”. He is consumed by guilt, because he knows that it is because of him that they are there. Leonard tries to cheer him up, but the situation is difficult for Tom.

For her part, Maya informs Billie that Tom took the news badly. But in reality, Billie didn’t spend the night with another man. She asked Maya to lie to try to move on with her ex-boyfriend. Maya explains to him that it was not necessary to go as far as lying, then adds: “It didn’t work, he still loves you.”

Bérénice defends Teyssier

Before going to class, Bérénice offers Carla a cupcake. She takes the opportunity to ask her if she met Rose in the morning, but Carla says no. Bérénice hopes that Latour will vote against Teyssier, because according to her, he does not deserve to leave the Institute like that, but Carla does not agree. She says to her girlfriend: “You are playing the manipulation card so that I tell Rose to vote in favor of Teyssier.”

But Bérénice has not said her last word. She tries to convince Carla by telling her that this vote against Teyssier is humiliating: “If he wants to leave, he has to do it himself”. Then, Bérénice asks her girlfriend to speak to Rose Latour who is the initiator of the exceptional council which must take place the next day. Tension rises between the two women. Carla points out that Teyssier almost ruined everything Rose put in place for the Master. She adds that her mother is right to want to make him pay for what he did to her. Bérénice says to her girlfriend: “She’s your mother when it suits you”and Carla responds: “You are not defending Teyssier because he is perhaps your brother-in-law? ».

Later in the day, Carla informs Souleymane and Rose that Teyssier set up Bérénice’s head. She doesn’t accept her girlfriend’s reaction. Rose Latour adds a layer by telling Carla that Bérénice is behaving exaggeratedly. Once Carla leaves, Souleymane tells Rose that she should not have taken Carla’s side, because that only makes the situation worse.

Claire reveals her true face

Teyssier is still in shock after the fire at the estate. Constance arrives to cheer him up. She asks him how he feels, and he replies: “It’s over, Bleupré, it’s ruined”. Suddenly, he receives a message from Antoine informing him that a meeting will take place with Rose and Clotilde. For their part, the students wonder if they are not responsible for the fire. Maybe they forgot to put out all the fires? They are disappointed, because a great opportunity was offered to them. Anaïs is worried about Teyssier, she says to Salomé:
“Le Bleupré was his dream.”

At the office, tension rises a notch between Rose and Clotilde. Antoine tries to calm the situation by declaring:
“The opening will be postponed, but it remains possible.” Furious with Teyssier, Rose tells him: “You know, what would be best for the Institute is for you to no longer be director.” A few minutes later, Antoine announces bad news to his colleagues: the insurance company has confirmed that the fire was indeed accidental, but it will not reimburse anything. And for good reason, smoke detectors were not installed. They now have 48 hours to find the money, otherwise the Institute could be seized.

Rose and Clotilde realize that all the sacrifices their father made are going up in smoke. While Rose struggles to hide her anger, Clotilde is determined to fight. She says : “There is no question that we will lose the Institute”. To save the establishment, she wants to find someone trustworthy who is ready to invest. Faced with such a situation, the vote to decide Teyssier’s fate is postponed.

After this high-tension meeting, Marc comes to cheer Teyssier up. The latter asks him if he knows any investors who might be interested, then suddenly Teyssier has an epiphany: he thinks of Edouard Fayet, Solal’s father. The latter is a director of a high-end hotel in Monaco and he could perhaps invest in the Institute. Teyssier takes advantage of this moment with his friend to inform him that Constance wants to settle in the Landes, far from all this agitation. Marc asks him what he thinks about it and Teyssier responds: “I don’t know if I’m ready to give all of this up.”

Later in the day, Claire informs Anaïs that a friend needs someone she can trust to improve her restaurant’s menu. Anaïs thanks Claire for thinking of her. She answers him: “It might interest me, but I would like to see it with Teyssier”. Claire tells him with certainty: “Don’t worry about it, he won’t be here soon.” Anaïs and Salomé are surprised by Chef Guinot’s reaction. A few minutes later, Salomé surprises Claire on the phone. The latter says to her interlocutor: “It’s now or never to get rid of Teyssier, and definitely.”
