Alternative rock band VernoSolem is on the rise

With its own repertoire, the alternative rock band (from Lavernose-Lacasse to be precise), VernoSolem is gaining momentum, as evidenced by the listening on platforms of their song “Fireball”. Two concert dates are planned: Saturday, September 28 at 5 p.m., in Marquefave, during the Marqu’ Local day: Festival of local initiatives and a concert on November 30, at the Acoustic Bar Café in .

An album was recorded in self-production “Ostara” as an EP (a record longer than a single but shorter than an album, with 5 tracks). The title Ostara is a nod to VernoSolem (Spring Sun), the former name of their town of origin. “Indeed, Ostara is the Germanic goddess of spring. In Norse mythology, her annual arrival symbolizes the beginning of this season. She comes to the world of mortals to bring her first rays of light and announce the birth of the sun. Her fragility and apparent gentleness hide a darker and wilder character … balance between day and night. We also released the EP on the day of spring 2024” explains Rémi the guitarist, in a poetic burst. Recorded in Home Studio by Stephan Garcia, during February 2024, the first feedback is positive. “The 5 tracks on the EP represent our universe and our classic rock influences. A mix of rock and catchy riffs (Kind Of Woman, Burn), catchy melodies (Fireball, I Wonder) but also darker atmospheres (Sitting With The Devil)”. Coming from the musical collective of Lavernose-Lacasse (section of the rural home), the group was joined in July by Michel Teulet, on bass, with Adrien Rouch on vocals and guitar, Rémi Mouneydier on guitar and Philippe Garcia on drums.
