50 Cent loves it when it smells like a fight.
After several weeks scrutinizing the actions of Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole, who have just offered a hell of a moment of entertainment to fans of US rap and clash, the attention has now shifted to Chris Brown and Quavo. The two artists began to attack each other via rather dirty diss tracks, and there is one who takes great pleasure in the spectacle: it is 50 Cent.
The New York rapper is himself no stranger to clashes and troll moments, he who practically built his career with it, long before he was even known in the game, he was explaining how he planned to rob the homes of Jay-Z, P.Diddy and others. On Instagram, in a since-deleted post, 50 Cent wrote: “I don’t know why I like it all so much, but I love it! The atmosphere is hot, Chris Brown is going to beat the shit out of him”. We have a little idea for his question: Fifty loves it all because he’s a huge troll!
He also takes the opportunity to take sides, even if we are not entirely sure which side he is on. “Breezy gonna punch him in the face”is this referring to an upcoming diss track or is it a way to refer to his not-so-glorious past of violence with women? In any case, it’s nice to see grandpa 50 Cent taking so much pleasure in a clash between young people, because here too, we find that all the recent beefs of US rap clearly restore interest to a game which goes a little in circles musically.
