As every year since 2018, the arrival of autumn in Vichy will be synonymous with a festival. And not just any festival: the Games, which attracts an ever-increasing audience. And this 2024 edition should be no exception. Here’s what you need to know.
First, let’s talk to the professionals in the sector
Like last year, the show is once again split into two parts in September 2024. First, from September 15 to 17, there was a first part reserved for professionals from the gaming world, gathered internally to present prototypes and new products. In total, 1,400 representatives from the sector were present, making this trade show one of the most important in the country.
Then, the door opened to the general public
And starting this Saturday, September 21, it is the turn of visitors from all walks of life to come and have fun around the gaming tables that will be set up in the heart of the Palais des Congrès in Vichy. More than 10,000 visitors are expected, who will have free access to more than 200 play areas hosted by experts in card, board, and strategy games, among other delights.

Games previewed
While it is an opportunity to play games that are well-known to all, this Vichy festival also offers its participants the opportunity to discover many new products, some of which are not even on the market yet. Many game designers are also expected in the aisles of the festival, where a dedicated area, the “proto zone”, will be set up.
More than 200 games will be made available to the public in open access.
The return of the big Off evening
Because it has always worked well in recent years, the Off evening of the general public festival will be back on Saturday evening. From 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., the public will be able to play, again and again, during a night event punctuated by many highlights. On the program in particular: role-playing games, poker tournaments, or even a giant game of TTMC (“Tu te mets combien”) to test your general knowledge and knowledge of music with family or friends.

A big quiz open to all
New in the festival program, a giant quiz will be offered, on Saturday at 4 p.m. and then at 5:30 p.m., at the auditorium of the Palais des Congrès. On the program, questions on music, cinema, history, games… Many prizes will be up for grabs.
A laser game in the heart of the Fer à Cheval
A few meters from the Palais des Congrès, the fun of the game can continue with a laser game offered in the heart of the Fer à Cheval. In addition, from the festival reception, at the Palais des Congrès, a very special investigation can lead volunteers to investigate all the way to the city center where the pieces of a puzzle to be reconstructed will be hidden.
