The actor, who has just had a pacemaker installed after a new heart operation, wanted to reassure his fans. He will be able to film the second season of his series Fubar.

“I’ll be ready to shoot in April.” This is the promise of Arnold Schwarzenegger who has just had a pacemaker fitted after a new heart operation, he declared on his X account.

“A lot of people have asked me if my pacemaker will prevent me from filming the second season of Fubar. Absolutely not,” he insisted. “I’ll be ready to shoot in April. You can only see (my pacemaker) if you’re careful.”

The actor known for his roles in Terminator And Conan the Barbarianwho was operated on on March 18, also wanted to thank “the kind messages of support sent from the four corners of the world.”

Born with a heart defect

“I became a little more of a machine,” the actor said after the operation. Making this information public “goes against a large part of my upbringing in Austria, where no one ever talked about health issues,” he added.

The 76-year-old actor was born with a heart defect. He underwent heart surgery in 2020 to replace his aortic valve. Last September, the actor revealed that he almost died after failed open heart surgery in 2019.

Doctors advised Arnold Schwarzenegger to have a pacemaker fitted because of these previous operations. The actor, who continues to remain very active in film and television, and has launched a wellness newsletter, says he is “doing great.”
