FOOTBALL – Following his team’s 3-1 victory over Stade Brestois in Ligue 1 on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain’s Portuguese full-back shared a message of racist insults on Instagram

PSG was quick to react to the Instagram story published on the night of Saturday to Sunday by its player Nuno Mendes. In the wake of Paris’ victory in Ligue 1 against Stade Brestois (3-1), the Portuguese full-back had shared a private message he had received during the match, in which he was subjected to racist insults written in Spanish.

“Paris Saint-Germain gives its full support to its player Nuno Mendes, targeted by insulting and racist remarks on social networks,” the reigning French champion said on its X account (formerly Twitter). The international player (28 caps with the Seleçao) had caused, during the success against Brest, a penalty which allowed Romain Del Castillo to open the score (0-1, 29th).
