LThe founder of Emmaüs is once again being accused. Seven weeks after the initial revelations, 17 new testimonies accuse Abbé Pierre of sexual violence allegedly committed between the 1950s and the 2000s, according to a report by the specialist firm Egaé sent to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
“To date, it is possible to identify at least 17 additional people who suffered violence at the hands of” the priest who died in 2007, we can read in the report by the specialist firm Egaé, commissioned in July by the two organisations to collect potential new testimonies.
“These are unsolicited contacts on the breasts or forced kisses. Several testimonies report serious facts of another nature: repeated sexual contacts on a vulnerable person, repeated acts of sexual penetration on a person over 18, as well as comments of a sexual nature, forced kisses and other sexual contacts on a child,” it is written.
