The Panda and Koala nursery, open since last September, can accommodate up to 12 children and currently has 8 young residents. Noémie Chapron points out that the establishment is flexible and can accommodate a child even one day a week, depending on the needs of the families.
The Sainte-Marie nursing home, for its part, currently accommodates 77 residents, some of whom benefit from specific Alzheimer’s support. There are 10 residents, volunteers, who had the pleasure of participating in this meeting: Yvette, Claire, Andréa, Angèle, Lucie, Monique, Paulette, Irène, Daniel and Angèle. Also present were Solène Gonnard, Laetitia Renaud and of course Sabine Poingt, who shared this friendly moment with the residents.
The children, aged 1 to 2 and a half years old, arrived accompanied by Noémie Chapron and Camille Jourde. In a few minutes, they captivated the attention of the residents by gesticulating and singing together, a moment of joy and complicity which visibly delighted the participants. There were many smiles and warm exchanges.
-This first meeting is only the beginning of a project which will continue once a month. The next meeting will take place at the Panda and Koala nursery, where residents of the nursing home will be invited to discover the place and spend another moment of sharing with the children.
