No detox or diet
Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to follow a detox to “purge” your body after the holidays. The body eliminates these toxins naturally, recalls the dietitian nutritionist. “It’s not because you drank champagne and ate galette des rois that you have accumulated toxins or other impurities,” she says in her video. The waste produced by your body is already eliminated by your kidneys, your lungs, your skin and especially your liver. The specialist therefore advises avoiding derived products: juices, tea and food supplements labeled “detox”: “they have no scientifically proven effectiveness, it’s just a very salesy term”.

Have you made a good resolution and decided to join the gym or run? Very good idea, provided you like these activities. Otherwise, there is no point in forcing yourself. Violette Babocsay insists: “what matters is that you enjoy doing what you do so that you can keep these activities in your daily life.” So choose activities that you want to maintain lasting motivation.
Finally, the start of the year often rhymes with diet. A trap we must not fall into. “You don’t need to completely change the way you eat to lose weight or improve your health and well-being,” emphasizes the dietitian. Small changes to your routine will have much more impact, “you’ll be able to get results without having to exclude your favorite foods and ruin your mental health in the process,” she continues.
