The coordinator of the National Program to Combat Seasonal Influenza and Respiratory Diseases confirmed today, Sunday January 5, 2025, that the peak of seasonal influenza should be recorded at the end of this month and the beginning of next February.

He called for caution and following all preventive measures.

He highlighted the emergence of the virus responsible for “bronchiolitis” and the “seasonal flu” virus, adding that the virus that recently appeared in China is included in the surveillance system.

It also calls on people with chronic illnesses and pregnant women to get vaccinated against seasonal flu.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Health had called in a press release to follow simple and effective preventive measures, in particular regular hand washing, wearing a mask in busy places, ventilating homes and closed places and vaccination against seasonal viruses.
