HEALTH: Wearing a protective mask becomes compulsory again at Bourgogne University Hospital

The health establishment has noted an increase in cases of influenza and respiratory syncytial virus.

During this winter period, the epidemic phase has just been reached for the flu and is still ongoing for bronchiolitis. Over the past week, we have observed an increase in nosocomial cases of influenza and RSV. Locally, the number of hospitalized COVID cases also continues to increase.

Taking these elements into account, wearing a mask becomes compulsory from 12/31/2024 in places welcoming patients, under the conditions specified below.

For patients, visitors, parents

Wearing a mask is compulsory in all CHU buildings.

Remember to wear a mask if you come for a consultation, visit, or other. Surgical masks and hydroalcoholic gel are available at the entrance to the halls.

HAND HYGIENE

Hand hygiene in addition to wearing a mask is an effective prevention measure against the transmission of respiratory viruses.

Depending on the evolution of the incidence, this policy is likely to be reassessed by the end of January 2025.
