The Government of Quebec inaugurated the new rehabilitation center for young people with adjustment difficulties (CRJDA) in Thérèse-De Blainville in the Laurentides region.
With an area of more than 15,000 m2the new CRJDA in Thérèse-De Blainville has a capacity of 90 places spread across nine rehabilitation units. One of the units is reserved for young people with a diagnosis of intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder and physical disability (ID-ASD-DP).
It includes administrative services, indoor greenhouses, classrooms, a multipurpose room/glass art studio, a gymnasium with climbing wall, a multifunctional dance room, a common area, a reception area and a dining room. The outdoor courtyard is made up of sports fields, gardens, relaxation areas, themed play modules and integrated furniture.
The project was developed from a sustainable development perspective, with the addition of a mechanical system characterized by geothermal wells. Obtaining LEED silver certification is also targeted.
The budget allocated to this project is approximately $140 million.
