And I felt unwell”describes the 24-year-old young woman, who has always lived with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, an illness which causes chronic fatigue, severe pain and neurological manifestations.

“I was unconscious”

“When I felt unwell, I came across the horn… But then I remember almost nothing », she admits. The signal will be sufficient to warn passers-by on Boulevard Ayrault. “I was unconscious, totally disconnected, and people came to help me… They took care of me while waiting for help”says Eyma, who will be taken care of by the firefighters. Morphine, oxygen mask and transport to the Angers university hospital center (CHU)…

“I especially remembered a girl who gave me back my keys before going to the hospital, but I barely had time to see her”breathes the young woman, originally from Biscarrosse (Landes). When she leaves the university hospital, she has only one idea: to find her one-night saviors.

His solution? Publish a message on social networks, in particular on the “Living in Angers” Facebook page. “I am looking for 3 or 4 people that I would like to thank with all my heart », she writes. Result: nearly 300 shares and many positive comments.

“I was surprised to see so many reactions”she admits. Eyma will be contacted a few days later by one of the girls from the group of five people who came to help her. “She was happy to hear from me and told me I had scared them.”she says.

And to conclude: “Without them, it would have been complicated for me… So I wanted to thank them for taking care of me and my car. I could have come across dishonest people. We always talk about what is going wrong, we also need to talk about outpourings of solidarity. There are still good people. »
