The SOS Hepatitis and Liver Diseases association is organizing its 25th national forum on November 28 and 29 in Limoges (Haute-Vienne), report our colleagues from Popular of the Center. As every year, the floor will be given to health professionals, patients and even community stakeholders.
Liver diseases are responsible for many cancers in France. Around 12,000 cases are diagnosed each year. The projections are not good either. By 2040, this number is expected to reach 15,000. The causes are known: alcohol, diabetes, medications, viral hepatitis, obesity, etc.
Health professionals from all over France
For two days, specialists from all over France will come together to explain the current and future management of viral hepatitis, Nash (English acronym meaning: non-alcoholic steatohepatitis) as well as other pathologies. Liver transplantation will also be a theme addressed during the forum by Marilyne Debette-Gratien, doctor at the Limoges university hospital center.
The event organized by Pascal Melin, hepatologist at Saint-Dizier University Hospital, will take place at 88 rue du Pont-Saint-Martial. It is accessible free of charge to everyone, only prior registration is necessary.
