Since October 10, health insurance cards with the gender marker “X” (CAM-X) can be produced by the Régie de l’assurance santé du Québec (RAMQ), replacing the H or F, at the demand of non-binary people. The gender identity of these people “lies outside the male/female binary. They may identify as both male and female, neither as male nor female, or partially as one gender.1. People who wish to obtain a CAM-X must have previously made a request to change their sex designation to the Director of Civil Status (DEC).

In order to enrich the knowledge of staff in the health and social services network and the Ministry of Health and Social Services on gender plurality, the asynchronous training capsule Sexes, genders and sexual orientations: understanding the diversity of The INSPQ National Training Program is now offered to them on the new Brio digital learning and teaching platform. Although still available on the Virtual Campus, it will soon be accessible on the ENA Provincial.
