A 58-year-old man struggled to breathe for two years after part of his tooth became stuck in his sinuses following a botched tooth extraction. A crazy story relayed by the Daily Mail. Originally from Marlborough in Wiltshire, the 50-year-old initially went to the dentist in January 2020 to remove two teeth from the upper left side of his mouth, teeth which were causing him significant pain.

However, following this, Mark Shire was still in pain and his gums were not healing. He suffered from constant pain and a blocked nose which made it difficult to breathe and therefore prevented him from sleeping and working.

“In January 2022, I visited a doctor’s office for sinus pain and congestion. They gave me antibiotics and nasal sprays, but the problems continued. I was then seen by a specialist in the department ears, nose and throat Despite several antibiotic treatments, I had thick, foul-smelling green mucus coming out of the left side of my nose and into my throat but also facial pain on the left side and headaches on the left side. left side”, he explained.

Finally, after two years of suffering, a scan revealed that part of one of his extracted teeth was located in his sinuses. He had it removed and decided to take legal action. The patient received compensation of 8,400 pounds but the dentist involved never admitted liability.
