Researchers from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine carried out a study on the effects of cheese on the body. This, carried out by genetics expert Tian-Ge Wang and her team, was carried out on a sample of 2.3 million Europeans. According to the results, published this June 17 in the journal Nature Human Behavior, consuming cheese would have a positive impact on mental health and healthy aging.

In its report, the team of scientists specified: “To guide health policies effectively, it is essential to have solid evidence on the socio-economic aspects influencing longevity and on the role of modifiable factors such as lifestyle and diseases.”

The study carried out by genetics expert Tian-Ge Wang and her team therefore showed that people who have good mental health and better resistance to daily stress would eat larger quantities of cheese. She would also have highlighted the fact that eating cheese would present “a positive impact of 3.67% on indicators linked to healthy aging”.
