The Moroccan Association of Addictology (AMA) is organizing a national congress, on November 8 and 9 in Tangier, around the theme “Addictology in the era of artificial intelligence (AI)”.
This event brings together Moroccan and international specialists to discuss the growing impact of AI on addiction research and treatment, providing a platform for reflection for mental health professionals and addiction researchers.
The program is built around lectures and workshops that explore how AI and advanced technologies are redefining therapeutic approaches to addiction.
Topics such as the use of Alpha and Beta signals in clinical monitoring, synthetic drugs and their links with psychiatric disorders, as well as the assessment of problematic screen exposure among young people, were at the heart of the debates during of the first day, held this November 8.
The experts shared innovative perspectives on crucial issues, enriched by the intervention of renowned researchers such as Maha Gmira, specialist in generative AI.
On the second day, the congress will open with discussions on digitalization and big data in addiction, the use of virtual reality for the treatment of addictions and the role of algorithms in supporting remote treatments.
The sessions allow you to delve into therapeutic innovations such as precision medicine and the integration of AI into cognitive and behavioral therapies. These advances show how artificial intelligence can support practitioners in personalizing care and optimizing treatment pathways.
