Ferti Flow: a new Instagram page to inform patients about fertility

On the occasion of Fertility Day, celebrated on November 2, the Ferti Flow Instagram page was created to offer clear and reliable information on fertility, an area often misunderstood and surrounded by misconceptions. Launched at the initiative of the Merck laboratory, this page aims to fill the lack of accessible and scientifically verified content on fertility, in simple and direct language.

The average age of women having their first child in Belgium today exceeds 28 years, which has a direct impact on their chances of conceiving. Few know it, but from the age of 35, the chances of pregnancy decrease significantly, and after the age of 40, even Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAP) techniques become less effective. This is why Ferti Flow’s mission is to raise awareness among women, but also their loved ones, of the importance of understanding and anticipating their fertility.

Each week, an Instagram post will address a specific topic of fertility, always in popular and scientifically accurate language. Ferti Flow also wishes to demystify certain aspects of PMA and deconstruct the preconceived ideas that too often circulate on social networks.

A global approach without taboos

Ferti Flow will leave no subject aside: from fertility disorders to assisted reproduction options, including the cost of treatments or psychological support, every aspect will be explored. The page is aimed not only at the women concerned, but also at their partners and all those who support them in this sometimes complex journey.

Testimonials from experts and “patient-experts”

To enrich the content, Ferti Flow will give the floor to gynecologists, psychologists specializing in assisted reproduction, as well as patients who will share their experience. These “experience experts” will provide unique insight into the emotional and practical challenges that the PMA journey represents.

A supplement to medical information

Ferti Flow does not replace medical consultations but offers a space for additional knowledge. The page aims to better inform and support patients so that they can approach their medical appointments with more serenity.
