“November without nuts” is the name of a campaign advocating sexual abstinence: for a month, it involves depriving oneself of ejaculation but also of screens, associated with porn. Paradoxically, the crusade rages on social networks.
Not masturbating or making love for thirty days: possible? NoNutNovember (NNN) is one of the viral campaigns in which thousands of people participate each year, boosted by the feeling of being part of a community. The name of the challenge refers to the testicles (nuts). Target: mainly young straight people. This means no longer exposing yourself to adult content, and therefore cutting off your WiFi to limit the risk of “temptation”. The event is in keeping with the times: on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, social media challenges challenge Internet users to accomplish a feat and provide proof. These are usually tests of courage or fun competitions.
Porn, a “poison”
Campaigning against pornography, online influencers (like Gerbert Johnson, Jeremy Lipkowitz and Shane Melaugh) encourage their audiences to stop the Internet. Argument invoked: the digital diet would allow men to “wean their brain from addictive stimulation”. Masturbatory images are compared to “a poison”. Disconnecting would allow “reset” the brain (reboot), they say, that is to say the “restore to factory settings”, in its original state of purity. Communities
