It was in a friendly atmosphere that the “women’s health day” took place at the Barbotan thermal baths. For several months, the coordinator of the CPTS Gascogne Armagnac, Karine Clos-Versaille and Angélina Conraud-Deronce, nurse in Cazaubon and vice-president of the CPTS, have worked in close partnership with the management team of the Thermes de Barbotan in order to implement set up as part of the CPTS a day entitled “Women’s Health Day”. The program included cervical cancer screenings by the midwife, Stéphanie Gasparotto; 10 appointments were thus honored. The target audience was spa guests, thermal baths staff and the Clos de l’Uby EHPAD. Dr Françoise Charrier, president of the CPTS and Dr Isabelle Mélon (doctor at Barbotan les Thermes) also offered prevention and care consultations by choosing consultations outside the walls, encouraging “going towards” spa guests and staff. of the Thermal Baths. On site, the CPTS self-examination bust was also offered to prevent breast cancer screening; 60 women were able to benefit from it. The Cancer League and the CPAM were also there for the purpose of providing information to the public. Nadia Benoit, president of the league against cancer, was able to host, with the help of Dr. Isabelle Mélon, a conference on the prevention of breast cancer screening. The director of the thermal baths Mr Echavidre, very involved in this subject, was also present. The friendly drink closed the day.
