On Saturday, in Moularès, a major mobilization brought together walkers from all walks of life for a global cause: the fight against poliomyelitis.

The solidarity march was organized by the Rotary club of Carmaux.

This fight, led for years by Rotary, is taking on particular resonance in international news, with the return of the disease to areas weakened by conflicts.

This solidarity day was an opportunity to raise awareness and raise funds to support this essential global action, aimed at eradicating polio.

Two walking routes have been proposed to satisfy all audiences: a sporting route for experienced hikers and a discovery route for lovers of local history.

Thanks to the commitment of Christian Puech, mayor of Moularès, participants had the privilege of visiting the recently renovated church, a heritage jewel of the village.

The success of this day is also based on the valuable collaboration with the Ségala Nordic walking club, whose volunteers provided supervision of the routes.

The morning concluded in a warm atmosphere with a country buffet, offering participants a moment of sharing and conviviality.

Thanks to the collective commitment of everyone, the Rotary of Carmaux continues to actively contribute to the global fight against polio, hoping one day to see this disease disappear for good.
