The national vote census commission proceeded, this Thursday, November 21, 2024, to the proclamation of the provisional results from the legislative elections of November 17, 2024. An exercise during which the names of the 165 deputies who will sit in the hemicycle of the National Assembly were unveiled. Among these men and women who will represent the Senegalese for the next five years are several political figures who are entering – for the first time – the parliamentary chamber.
These include, among others: Birima Mangara (former minister delegate in charge of the budget), Tahirou Sarr (candidate of the Les Nationalistes Jël li ñu moom coalition), Abdoulaye Sylla (former provisional administrator of Abs and businessman ), Cheikh Oumar Hann (former Minister of Higher Education), Anta Babacar Ngom (Entrepreneur), Abdou Karim Sall (former Director General of ARTP).
Through their profile and their CV, they will certainly raise the level of the debate – previously much criticized – in the National Assembly.
