As part of a public health prevention action, the Multi-Professional Health Center (MSP) at Portes du Finistère, in Rédéné, organized an information evening on the theme of ischemic brain accidents, Ty-Coat room, Wednesday evening.

Laure Guéguen-Chateau, the coordinator of the MSP, underlined the importance of the coordinated exercise, which allows better patient care thanks to the collaboration of health professionals.

Dr Florie Le Chevalier presented what can characterize symptoms of transient ischemic attack (TIA) or cerebrovascular attack (CVA): crooked mouth, facial or limb rigidity, speech and vision problems, highlighting the importance of calling for help quickly. You should not wait and quickly call 15 or the fire brigade.

Risk factors can be family, diabetes, sedentary lifestyle, alcohol or tobacco, cardiac arrhythmia and diet. Physical activity was presented by physiotherapist François Thauvin: walking, going up and down stairs, cycling, individual or team sports, etc. at least once or twice a week, and for walking at least 30 minutes a day. This increases heart rate and muscle strengthening. Be careful of a sedentary lifestyle!
