A simplified path to fight against breast cancer, which is the most common in women.
On the occasion of Pink October, the Princess Grace Hospital Center (CHPG) is opening the Breastday Center. In the event of suspicion of breast cancer (discovery of a mass, nipple discharge, etc.), it offers a rapid diagnosis. In just one day, all the examinations and results (imaging, blood tests, etc.) necessary for screening are available without the need to go back and forth.

If the results are negative, follow-up and surveillance will be implemented by the CHPG and on the contrary, if they are positive, a personalized care pathway is offered to patients.
« In Monaco, we are very active in terms of breast cancer screening since we carry out more than 10,000 mammograms per year » says Mathieu Liberatore, Head of the Senology Department at the CHPG, speaking to Monaco Info before continuing: “ When there is an anomaly which is detected in the screening assessment, the first step takes place with us the radiologists which is possibly a sample to confirm or not the doubt, there is then an identification of the lesion which is done just before to be operated in such a way as to allow the least invasive surgery possible and depending on the results, additional treatments are carried out more or less ».
