the essential
After 18 months of work, the Clinique d’ in is opening the very first Public Health center in the region.

The Maison de la Santé Publique, an establishment of the Elsan group, is organized around the patient pathway. It brings together in a brand new HQE building of 3,600 m² the day hospital pathways and the therapeutic education programs offered within the establishment. For all the therapeutic education pathways offered by the clinic, in particular obesity, a “Therapeutic Kitchen” has been specifically set up to participate in the nutritional education of patients.

One of the building’s floors is dedicated to the Sleep Disorders Assessment Center (CETS) for adults and children. Another floor is dedicated to the Center of Excellence in Ophthalmology, where screening, monitoring and treatment activities for various pathologies are carried out, including those related to macular degeneration. Thanks to the Maison de la Santé Publique, the Clinique d’Occitanie is changing its operations by grouping and restructuring its specialties in a Center of Excellence logic, in a single location; thus facilitating the identification of patients in the establishment. “This is an important step for us but also for patients. We are grouping activities into Centers of Excellence, we are expanding medical consultation sectors, we are expanding medical teams. The implementation of the Maison de la Santé Publique, through its direct activities and the associated restructuring of the establishment’s historic buildings, continues and concretizes the establishment’s desire to strengthen its local health role in the service of a rapidly expanding population base and city health professionals seeking links with those working in a healthcare establishment,” says Bruno Jeanjean, General Manager of the Clinique d’Occitanie.

Reorganization of services

For 10 years now, the Clinique d’Occitanie has set up courses around the themes of Primary Health which bring together care related to screening, prevention and therapeutic education. In concrete terms, it is the entire Clinique d’Occitanie which is being reorganized thanks to the construction of this new building. The administrative and paramedical “support” functions, the technical, IT and biomedical services are grouped together in the same place.
