Completely privatized, the Domaine des Bordes (Les Bordes Estate) will open its doors in 2025 to a few privileged Golf fans eager to discover the famous Old Course and its enchanting atmosphere.
A few months after the inauguration of the fabulous New Course, whose work we had followed thanks to the late Richard Waxwe had the privilege of discovering the enchanting setting of the wonderful but very closed Domaine des Bordes.
After the very famous Old Course, which emerged with the creation of the Domaine des Bordes in 1985 under the leadership of Marcel Bich, a second exceptional route was offered to members and residents of the prestigious 1,400-acre resort located in the heart of Sologne.
But in 2025, the very exclusive Domaine des Bordes intends to open its doors (a little) by launching the « Once in a Lifetime experience».
It coincides with the marketing of residences under the “Six Senses at Les Bordes” brand.
The charm of Bordes
In addition to enjoying the unforgettable golf experience on the Old Course signed Robert Von Haggeguests will have full access to the estate's Country Club, which includes tennis courts, equestrian center, fishing areas and a natural swimming lake.
Small downside it will not be possible to play the New Coursethe jewel of the famous American architect Gil Hanse who spent several months shaping its contours.
A guided tour of the estate, including the Six Senses development and the Cour du Baron residences, is among the activities on offer, while non-golfers can visit the “Le Retreat” spa each day.
Half-board accommodation is offered in one of the renovated cottages on the shores of Lac des Bordes or in an elegant four or five bedroom Cour du Baron villa. Also on the program is a dinner every evening with a tasting menu of food and wine created by the chef of Les Bordes, a Michelin graduate.
In Scottie's footsteps
Located 90 minutes south of Paris, Les Bordes is one of the most beautiful golf resorts in continental Europe. World number one Scottie Scheffler spent a week relaxing and practicing on the grounds' 46 holes this summer, en route to winning gold at the Paris Olympics.
Jack Laws, Director of Golf at Les Bordes Golf Club, explains: “Les Bordes has much to offer golfers seeking an exceptional club experience, and it is our great pleasure to make the estate’s facilities available to a relevant audience on a limited basis.”
« The launch of Six Senses branded residences gives us the perfect opportunity to invite players and future owners to experience the magic of Les Bordes and discover why the estate is so attractive to residents, members and families from around the world. »
Be careful, this unique experience has a cost! In fact you will have to pay 2500 euros per night per room. All the information can be found here https://lesbordesestate.com/oial
