The Spaniard Angel Ayora (photo) was once again imperious this Friday on the course of the Alcanada Club. After starting the game above par, Martin Couvra restarted perfectly. Robin Sciot-Siegrist can still believe in climbing the DP World Tour…

Who can stop Angel Ayora ? The winner of the Rosa Challenge Tour in Poland at the end of summer once again showed all his talent this Friday in Mallorca in a day interrupted for more than two hours by storm and rain. The young man, only 20 years old, projected first in the order of merit, scored an excellent 65 (-7) without the slightest error. Three birdies on the outward journey and four on the return punctuated his day. He is at the incredible mark of -17 after 36 holes.

Alone Kristoffer Reitan did better in this second round. The Norwegian brought back to the clubhouse a card of 64 (-8) despite two bogeys. The Scandinavian put on a show at 7 with a nice wedge shot for eagle. The 36th in the order of merit is two units behind the leading man. With this result, he would access the DP World Tour in 2025.

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen failed to keep up the pace. The Dane is already pushed back five shots despite his 69 (-3). Fourth, the Finn Oliver Lindell is, for its part, seven lengths away.

Martin Covered on contact

The day didn't start ideally for Martin Couvrera. The Frenchman, 21, first conceded two bogeys at 4 and 6 before turning things around halfway. A birdie at 9 then four others between 11 and 15 allowed him to sign a good 69 (-3). Fifth, however, he is already eight shots behind.

« I'm super happy with the dayhe rejoiced. I started averagely without making any bad shots, that's just poorly planned. I knew how to remain patient, hitting good shots little by little. There were a few putts that fell in the middle of the round that felt good and things got going quickly. It's an important trick and I'm happy to have done it like that. »

Sciot-Siegrist counterattacks!

The best card of the tricolor clan was signed by Robin Sciot Siegrist with a solid 67 (-5). Starting from 10, he took advantage of the first, easier holes to record four birdies. His return was marked by three birdies and two bogeys. He thus moved up to thirteenth place, but this is still insufficient for the left-hander from St-Nom-la-Bretèche (78) who must at least finish in the top 5.

Despite their card under par, Alexander Levy et Felix Mory (29th to -2) are in the soft stomach. Pierre Pineau (34th to -1) follows a shot behind. Benjamin Hébert (44th at +2) has, for his part, tumbled down the rankings after his 76 of the day (+4).
